Five Tips to Help You Discover God Given Purpose
At some point in life, we will all ask ourselves "What is my purpose?". That can be a critical question to the trajectory of our lives. Well here are 5 Tips to Help You Discover Your God Given Purpose.
- Go to God In Prayer and Ask God to give you wisdom and direction. Reference scripture James 1:5 "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him."
- Start reading and being a doer of the Word of God. As you read God's word it will help you to understand God's ways, helping you to want to live your life according to His will and not your own.
- Evaluate what your natural gifts and strengths are. Weather you are good at digital design, writing or teaching, God's purpose will most of the time involve the very talents that you are already good at.
- Evaluate what you are passionate about. This is the very thing that if you never got paid for it you could do it forever with no issue. This could be helping less fortunate families, painting, traveling, sports...anything. Often times where our talents and passions collide is right where God reveals our purpose.
- Trust God in the Next Steps. Allow God to lead you to the community of people that will help you to fulfill your destiny. Continue to submit every plan and step to God in prayer. Trust God in the process even when things don't look like you think they should. Reference Scripture John 16:13 However, when He, the Spirit of Truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth, for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever he hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.
